Why are there differences between the median and mean values on the distribution pop-up screen versus the values directly in the tables on the advanced screens?

The calculations on all the pop-up screens filter out the outliers (the top and bottom 2%) to allow for a more accurate calculation while the values within the table are based on all the values without filters. The mean values in particular can be affected more. This decision was made for performance reasons. Both values are accurate but have different calculations which is why differences are seen.

As we are performing a bulk calculation on the fly for the full table of bacteria, it will slow the screen down substantially if we were to apply the exclusions here as well but we feel that excluding the outliers provides a better comparison range.
